Foreign-sponsored disinformation to hinder development: Arafat

 The statement of the Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Mohammad Ali Arafat shows that he is emphasizing the importance of media freedom and environmental journalism. According to him, the government has done a lot in this field in the last 15 years, although there may be some errors and failures. He clarified that the government's policy is to accept criticism and challenge, as long as it is based on correct facts.

The State Minister explained that a lot of misinformation has been spread about the project, which has created a misconception that it will harm Bangladesh's environment. He emphasized that any discussion or debate should be based on authentic and true facts.


Besides, the State Minister expressed deep interest and support for the government's environment and climate policies, and said that the government will protect journalists who face any risk while working on climate issues. His statement shows that the government is prioritizing the development and protection of this sector and is looking forward to working with the media and civil society.
